Ok, so I've finally gotten bored enough to update this. I'm a History student at the University of Alberta, focusing on Eastern Europe / Military history (for my honors thesis). I'm in my fifth year of university, but the first two and a half years were spent in pursuit of Computer Engineering, which I left as it was not going to lead anywhere I wanted to go. Physically? Average height, blue eyes, crazy brown hair (my barber quit), glasses, vaguely keg-shaped, with a strange preference for webcomic shirts (Golf shirts if I have to go to work that day). Mentally? Think I tested out as INTP when we did that in class, so go look it up if you want to slot me into a category. Also, I'm a bibliophile. I love to read, and I love books. Prefered genres are history, sci-fi and fantasy. Favourite authors would be Steven Erikson, China Mieville, Guy Gavriel Kay, and Neil Gaiman, at present. Music-wise, I'm a leech, and tend to listen to whatever my friends have found that sounds decent, leading to a fairly eclectic selection. Left to my own devices I tend to drift to post rock, interesting indie pop / rock, anything celtic influenced, and late 60's and 70's instrumental jazz. On an unrelated note, I've aquired a splendid little cat, and am lucky enough to have gotten engaged to an amazing woman.
